Sometimes I dream about sinking into the water and not coming back up. I dream of allowing the water to cover all of me and fill me up until my lungs are full of anything but air. Until everything stops. The noise, the thoughts, my breath, my heart.
Is it bad I want all your attention? Not all the time, just for a few minutes a day. I want your attention and focus on me just long enough where we can tell each other everything we don’t anymore.
For a few minutes, I want to be the most important thing to you.
And god what I wouldn’t do to be able to see you every day. To hold your hand and hug you from behind. To mess up your hair and kiss your cheek. To hear your voice when you talk and laugh. Just to see you smile. And maybe be the reason for your smile and laugh. And maybe you’ll see how much I love you and keep me around. And that would be everything.
